no crank with 1.1.18

Hello, my name is Henrik from sweden and i´m new here.  ;D
I have a question about the firmware 1.1.18, will it only work if you have a camtrigger?
Because i installed a vems in friends car and he is only triggering on the crankpulley (2 teeth, simpel trigger) and uses a standard distributor whit a standard coil.
But i can´t get no rpm when i crank the engine, but changing to 1.0.73 the engine starts and runs fine, but it would be nice to have a newer firmware.

1.1.18 was a release that handled the 24 + 1sync setup and would be best avoided in your case.
Why not go for 1.1.44 or higher?
