Tuning Acceleration Enrichments
« on: April 08, 2009, 03:35:58 am »
I have been trialing the new acceleration enrichments, and I instantly noticed a difference but, its not perfect and i dont know where to start tweaking.

Logging records values 'tpsDOT' and 'TPSacc' I have seen tpsDOT up at 120 and TPSacc up at only 1.0, just by blipping the throttle.

How do these values relate to the added pulse width? I see the PW rise and decay at the same time as TPS, but I cannot relate this to either the acceleration amount or DOT rate, the numbers just dont tally up. VE also plays a part in this which confuses everything even further.

I have issues where blipping the throttle causes a large lean then a large rich, sometimes stalling the engine. I need to work out if its because it is too rich or too lean.

Please can some one explain these numbers, thanks

start from 100% on all rpm ranges.
and from 0ms. then keep adding ms´s until your throttle is operating fine.

remember the millisecond time is in a ratio to how big your injectors are for your engine.
for instance

2.5 12v 6cyl engine.
100%
110%
120%
130%

0.8ms everywhere.
And it´s got 450cc injectors.
half that and it would have to be 1.6ms and so on.
