Hi, Pls is already here some FW version, which supports this type of triggering (two pulses from cam + 4 pulses after 90deg from crank ) ?
Thanks a lot for the re.

This sounds awfully like the cosworth style trigger.  Does the cam pulse have two triggers close together? This trigger is supported with the latest 1.1.x branch firmware.

Thanks for the fast respons. Yes, I think it's the same trigger; the cam pulses have 90deg gap between each other, here is a good explanation from one VEMS member : http://www.vems.hu/wiki/index.php?page=MembersPage%2FRubenAparici . But I am not able to find out, how to set trigger options exactly.

If you dig through the links on that page you find a link to some bloke called Zoltan, who has a link to this page:
http://www.vems.hu/wiki/index.php?page=InputTrigger%2FLanciaCosworth

It says to use 1.1.27 firmware or newer, so I'd look at doing some cranking tests on 1.1.27 and then running it on 1.1.44

That page is outdated. The 1.1.27 wrong. We try 1.1.31-1.1.34 but these are wrong too, we have starting problems. Firmware Changes page say for 1.1.42: "Cosworth initial syncup sequence fixed. Hopefully no more backfire during cranking"
But I think it has enleaning problem.
We are not try newer version. So do try the last firmware. There are some hints about setup on my wiki, but I think some changes happened with firmware change.
Please inform me, if you have some success, thx:)

Ah! so you're the guy who did the Cosworth stuff, its interesting that you experience starting issues with this uneven trigger pattern, and Skassa has starting problems with his Subaru - which also has uneven trigger patterns.

Yes, we spent lot of time with this, but we are using 36-1 on crank pulley, it has less problem:)
The webber-marelli was a sophisticated stuff in his own time (for example sequential injection) but no feedback from the engine, so we started to use vems for the famuos YB. There are 4-5 cars run this setup here in Hungary.

Thank you guys! I'll try some new FW and let you know with the result. P

Sorry for this stupid question, but I am newbie with VEMS ;) .... When I download 1.1.42 FW, this isn't complete package with upload-download BATs, configured Megatune etc. Is it here only one way how to upload this FW? I mean only by using Developement page, install GCC compiler, Perl...... and create own hex manually ?
Thanks.

Put the firmware directory into a complete package. Or use newer complete package:
