we got a new unit 1932 w primary vr as primary and audi as secondary trigger
currently just trying to get the unti working w vr but at higher rpm we get trigger errors
right now i have it on bench and i noticed that i have to move the signal strenght slider a lot higher for the unit to read rpm at all! (compared to any other unit i tested)
i think it might have a chip that need higher vr amplitude? ive had that in the past once also!

here is the datalog done on the bench w high rpm
www.kunn.ee/log.xls

also config
www.kunn.ee/config.txt
any ideas what to test?'

thanks!

VR amplitude will be nice and high at higher RPM, so it doesn't seem like that would be the problem.

The VEMS with Audi trigger option has more filtering, so this might be the difference between this ECU and the previous ones.

What trigger type you use? Missing + VR cam?
Is problem persist only on engine or you can get it on bench test either?

i have tested it on 2 cars and on bench and problem is still there...
im using only missing tooth setup (primary trigger only)

First thing to test is DC voltage with VR sensor connected. Then analyzing with scope could help.
Basically you need to check all parts in lm1815 (U11) periphery. Especially on input side.

Audi triggers have different pull-down resistors which might account for the higher volume being needed.

i just got a voltage measuring device and measured resistance between ground and vr+ and interesting
my working unit (also wit vr) show no resistance
non working unit shows 18,8k ohms

thats alot?
edit

1 did few pic and i think that resistor standing up is not there usually? measured 18k ohms

I know that the Audi trigger has different filter resistors defined for the Audi setup.  That resistor is not unexpected I dont think.
