Running secondary injectors (mazda rx7 FD single turbo)
« on: November 05, 2008, 12:20:50 pm »
I'm looking at putting VEMs into my Rx7 for drifting. Firstly excuse me for any howlers as I'm new to all these and learning as I'm researching. I read 30 odd pages of robs user guide last night but still need to finish it, plus I've been looking at as much other stuff as possible including a shed load of 'engine' books!
The car was running pretty big power before I blew the engine last year. 550bhp ish with 550cc primary injectors and 1680cc secondaries. I presume these secondaries would come in at a set Rev limit higher than the primaries? does anyone know if this is the case and how I can deal with this with VEMS?

Heres something for your reading pleasure:

It's BCool's RX7 setup story, and its a bit of a "Drink from the fire hose" on a first reading but it does help show what the final result was.

Cool, thanks for that. I think I need to take a look at the megatune documentation as I havn't a clue what some of the stuff is in there. Good to see he got it sorted though. It worries me I'm new to all this and in fairly un-charted territory with the boosted rotary but knowing people have done it is great.
Do you know if he was just running on the leading plugs?
