Hi all. first post here.
I'm using a classic one coil with rotor setup.
Coil(+) fused to batt+, coil(-) to VEMS pin 35.
Should i relay the negative from coil, or can i connect it directly to VEMS 36:35?

I can seem to find any info on this, but it feels wrong to run the current from coil, through VEMS?
How often will VEMS "open/close" the coil circut? Will the relay "click" it self to death in minutes?

:)

OK. Learning by doing. Since VEMS constantly opens/closes the coil 12V supply circut, using a relay would not work.
And since the currents flowing are small 1 - 2 amps?, i guess running them directly to pin 35 makes sense.
I'll give it a try, with a 2A fuse.

Hey Mate

the EC36-35 pin is a coil driving pin rated to 7 amps. so no problems using that pin its what its for.

just to confirm, a relay most certainly would die within minutes if was even upto the task of cycling that fast at all.

Cheers.

Thanks Maverick!

Still no luck with the sparc. I dont get this.
I cooked one coil, 12V batt on coil =30 min before coil-boil. :)
How can VEMS charge- and controll discharge, controlling only the coil negative (pin 36:35)

I tried measuring the amps, while testing the circut in vemstune. The current was constand aprox 300MA(???), and actually fell a litle when pressing "test". At least something hapend. Diffenrent types of coils? Bosh "transistor based" coil, is says in german.

Shuld i use 1 or 4 ign. outputs?

Upload config and some more information.
Seems like you have wrong ignition settings.
