A little "runabout" project for me...

My old van has died before I got the Griff finished, so I need a runabout.
I sat and thought about an old v8 Land Rover Discovery since these are "socially unacceptable" vehicles and thus have depreciated to the point of being very cheap. ;)  I wouldn't do that many miles in it, and it would be handy to have a good tow car.  Specially if it was LPG converted already since this helps with running costs somewhat.

Ideally, I'd like to experiment with LPG and VEMS.  Ignition is easy as this works in exactly the same way I've already done on the TVR - the engines are close enough to being the same as makes no difference.

Now comes the fuelling bit...  Is the LPG thingy just effectively a "carb" for LPG or is there more to it electrically other than an ON/OFF switch?  How would VEMS cope with switching the petrol injectors on and off for instance?  I presume that as long as there's a flyback connection it'll not be a problem?

Any experience here?

I'd start with the first constant in the equation - first find your LPG injectors/solenoids...  From that we can work back.

When I've looked at this stuff there seemed to be an evaporator and a regulator that fit in the place of a carb.  I've not looked closely at the injectors that may be used though.
