Another AE86 on VEMS

Vid of car idling on VEMS before switching to AlphaN and getting mapped.


On the right: Startup map used for AlphaN from another AE86 which ran narrow port/itbs/262duration 10mm lift cams.
We changed TPs values to those recommended by PhatBob.
On the left is the results of street tuning with an economy bubble for cruising.
4AGE spec at the top of the jpg.

i recommend we listen to this car at full trottle at 1min 15 seconds it passes followed by another vems powered ae86

Right i have done a bit of work on the car since i was last on here (still alot to do) it is currently running on e85 but i am not happy with the current set up i got it mapped on the road but it is running tps vs rpm and when i dyno'd the car it was running rich due to the lack of air entering the itbs small fan vs 70 mph driving on a open road luckily i didn't map it on the dyno cause then i would have had the car running lean on the road i am just waiting to get a few quid together to do another map on the car i have already mapped the car 3 maybe 4 times but i want to tidy up the wiring in the engine bay first and fit new half shaft bearings the last ones i had fitted only lasted about 1000 kms
anyway here is a clip of it on the dyno

Mapped once on petrol (alpha N)
Mapped again on E85 (alpha N)

What were the other times it was mapped?

The alpha N/Blending should have been on, lesson learned, my bad.
Do you need me to email the setup info again?

sorry got it mapped twice but had to take it back up again to try get it set up to pass the nct feckers.

Yeah if you wouldn't mind sending me on that again hopefully i will get a chance to do it before the year is out.Popped my new turbo on the 180 recently so i am hoping to get that back and running first.e85 standard turbo standard internals be nice to see what she will make e85 rb20det standard internals and standard turbo made 340bhp @1bar on a dyno dynamics dyno

AlphaN blending is found in Extras->AlphaN / Speed Density Blending
Set MAP Multiplication to: Enabled

Set max RPM for Alpha-N (rpm) to the RPM point just above where the MAP signal starts to read cleanly.

Set min RPM for Speed Density (rpm) to a value just below the Alpha-N value.
Notice how Jap_Kadett's 20v has a stable idle of 80kPa at 2500rpm.
So MaxRpm for AlphaN here is 2500rpm, MinRpm for SD will be maybe 2000rpm.
So for idle and low rpm operation where cams cause fluctuating idle vacuums, you can run smooth.
As soon as the car is breathing enough for  asolid vacuum signal, you run fully SD.
With this setup the MAP sensor needs to be plugged into a vacuum being fed by all 4 inlet runners.
