When asking for technical help at the very least let us know the version of firmware you are running.

HI WILL THE AIM Sports MXL dash display WORK WITH VEMS THANKS

[email protected]

A couple of us wrote the AiM protocol to work with the VEMS firmware, there is no sign of it being used on any of the firmware releases...
Most of the AiM functions can be provided by the analog sensors.

You'll need the timing disk for the CA, and the setup for the is readily available.
Where are you based?

IN THE NORTH WEST (LANCASTER) ,A FREIND USES MAGATUNE WITH MEGAQUIRT IS IT THE SAME SOFTWARE ,WHAT I`M AFTER IS VEMS WITH A BASE MAP FOR STD ENGINE BUT I`LL HARD WIRE IT AS ITS GOING IN A SUNBEAM .I LOOKED AT THE ONE APEX IS SELLING BUT THE PRICE HAS GONE UP IN THE LAST MONTH  OR SO AND NOT SELLING THE PARTS SEPARET

Apex do the plug-and-play systems which isn't what you need TBH.
The prices have been shooting up recently as the Pound tanks against the Euro :(

The wiring is best done using a V3 harness as I've drawn up here:

With the base Nissan setup your friend should be easily able to help you with the mapping.  The tuning software is the same, although the VEMS firmware is different so there are a few new elements to learn.

PS can you turn caps lock off when typing, it makes your posts difficult to read.
