No communication with MegaTune

Hi,

I have a problem with my friend's car.
It's a 3.8L 6 cylinder BMW engine with 780cc LowZ injectors.
When the fuel injectors fuse is in place there is no connection between VEMS and MegaTune.
When I remove the fuse the connection is back (need to switch ignition key).
I tried to disconnect some injectors and with only 3 injectors connected the connection is still OK.
It looks like some load dependent problem.
The problem came suddenly today.

It also looks like the injectors are flooding the engine because when I try to start the engine
it comes alive with few cylinders and then immediately dies.
We use PowerFlypack and PWM mode, so no inline resistors.

We also tried another vems with same configuration and same problem occurred.

Regards
Mihkel

It seems like I have solved the problem.
It was an injector configuration/setting error most likely.
I'm new to VEMS so h[] tables were a little bit unclear to me until today.

Now the car runs OK and seems that there were no communication errors too.

Cool, I was going to suggest that there was something wrong with the injector pattern, but I wasnt 100% sure that it was the cause of the communication error.

I altered the h[0] table-line as it should be correct and all seems fine now.
How to link the EC36 pin 6 (Inj G) & EC36 pin 17 (Inj H) to IAC solenoid open & close outputs?

gunni

in the injector table outputs you select them as
the last two namely 64 and 128

then in the idle settings window you select

Type : PWM
Solenoid channel : Injfet
Channel # : 6 (remember it starts at 0) so inj7 in effect
Dual solenoid : yes

this will automatically select inj8 or channel 7 or output 128 for the second one.
then just 12v to the solenoid (on your S38 itÃ,´s in the harness if you used the stock one)
then you connect the original wires to the vems inj7 and inj8

to further aid idle control you can run a automatically adjusting timing advance to keep the idle good.

In Idle settings Advanced
Ignition based idle

Active : Enabled
Advance max advance : 5 is a good start
Advance max retard : 5 as well
Advance rate of.. : 63.50 works fine for me
Threshold for activating : this is the closed throttle %, usually 0% but sometimes throttle only on occasion go down to 1%
so I usually use 1%
