Boost control.

Clean engine.

Oil feed

Already done the radiator and electric fan and related hoses.

Should make the exhaust tomorrow or sunday, sucks working outside as you only have until the sun goes down.

You can either just change on of the gauges in megatune or do it in the megalogviewer

Today I took it to a dyno to do some tuning,

I went to my favourite place
Evolve down in Luton,. Evolve Automotive - evolve your car with the ECU remapping specialists

Anyway the results are in and I didn´t quite get 400LBS torque like I had hoped, but

466LBS !!! ,, This is SO crazy now.

This is where the car was before tuning

And this is same boost but after tuning.

3rd gear looses traction now after I tuned the ignition.
And driving this is INSANE!!..

Having a car tuned on a dyno really makes a difference. :)
Best thanks to Sal and the crew at Evolve.

original box + 3,73 diff

1.1bar boost

I don´t think it´s wise to post the timing map as my engine is TOTALLY different to almost all M20´s and
I don´t want people assuming that this ignition map is A-OK on any M20 that´s boosted as the compression is very low
and requires alot of ignition advance.

I´ve decided to do another customer
build it and test it job.

This time it´s going to be a
M50B25 built for a E30 chassis and M20 gearbox setup.

M50B25 - new bearings, rings, oil seals and gaskets
MLS for lower compression
Head fully checked
ARP 2000 head studs.

TCD Stage III kevlar M20 clutch

"24x12x3 Intercooler
50mm blow off
60mm wastegate
tubular split pulse top mount manifold
Custom HX35
"3 downpipe
"3 stainless exhaust

VEMS ecu
60lbs injectors or bigger
Boost control in cabin.
Walbro fuel pump

944 brake booster
eletric fan conversion
custom M20 gearbox holder
and gearshifting mechanism.

Dyno tuned, road tested.
I´m building this for 4k pounds.
Customer will need to get his own gearbox, radiator and driveshaft.

The power will be 500hp at about 1.4-1.7bar boost
Full boost by 3750rpm.

Pics as things develop

Well finally I´m getting somewhere.

I´ve got the M50 engine, and will be rebuilding it over christmas,
if you guys could reccomend a place to get a gasket set (head and bottom) that includes as many gaskets as possible that would be great.

Here it is sitting in the engine bay, which is where I´m storing it until rebuilding.

The engine loom is now in my house where I´ll be modding it and removing some things that don´t need to be there.
Still no date on startup and mapping, but I´ll be posting pics and information as they develop.

I have already done a preliminary map in the ecu that should make the car 100% around town drivable only needing minor fine tuning.

Here I have plotted where and how I´ll be running the boost and where it should be coming in.
Turbo is a 7blade Holset HX40 Super60

This is the proposed dyno chart I have worked out. The HP1 and Torque1 would likely come out like this If I let it spool uncontrollably to 1.5bar
But I´ll see how it´s on the street with such a crazy hp change in a matter of 500rpm´s.

The engine setup is going to be crazy good fun when finished. And I´ll post some videos and info of course.

No where close.
but I have a few other M50 based turbo setups to tune soon.

I´ll post them up when things are mapped.
