Where is the best location for the Wideband Lambda to be located. I have heard that they do not like extreme temperatures above the 800c mark. Thats not too much of an issue as the turbo I am using has a max of around that any way and i will be obviously monitoring the situation with the EGT. Will it reac that temp you ask, well possibly, I intend to use ALS on odd occasions for drag days, the boost will be 15 psi at the max with 9:1 cr so the EGT will be high to start.

Just dont want to burn out these little puppies as they aint cheep to start.

Location options - befor the turbo, imediately after the turbo or in the down pipe some what after the turbo?

The lambda is best after the turbo somewhere in the downpipe that allows the sensor to sit as close to verticle as possible.

Verticle as possible... why?

Well, if i stick it in the down pipe, it will have to be horizontal, though it will be in a vertical length of exhaust.

I think the 'as vertical as possible' it to prevent water gathering in the sensor tip???

Bosch specify vertical +- 80 degrees to stop water collection. Most installations try to be more like 45 degrees minimum. Completely horizontal is a bad idea.

horizontal and vertical to what? the floor or the exhaust pipe where the lambda is bolted to ?

i mounted mine with the nose pointing down slightly, due to the above answer regarding water.
