VEMS WITH 2 MAP SENSOR
« on: January 22, 2008, 09:34:47 pm »

I have Vems 3.3, with 400kpa internal map sensor.

admits it two maps sensor?  ???

they can serve as aid? For example, to sharpen the tables?

Where I connect the tube of the air? At inlet manifold, but where? before o after hatch/butterfly? :-\

  Engine have a turbocharger.

In settings->Basic settings there is a section titled: MAP Settings
Set MAP Sensor Range to 400
Map Range Unit to 2 (Default)
Table kPa unit to 2 (High Boost)

You will need to set the MAP sensor offset value so that when you look at the main screen you see the kPa airpressure that is correct for where you are - I use a local weather station, as it gives me the value in mB for the pressure in my area. Pressure is usually 995 to 1035 kPa depending on the weather.

The tube goes to the inlet after the butterfly.

I understand then that I can take two maps.
The external one is Magneti Marelli, where I connect the cables, to what pins?

Ah right.  You can connect a map sensor, to one of the spare analog inputs - it can be used to log pressures, but its only going to give raw data.  EC18-pin6, 12 and 16 are spare analog ins.

  ok.ok.
Another question, is it posible to connect a Mass air flow to Vems? in order combine it with Map sensor and have the one best VE table?
Do you help me with it?
The engine is turbocharger and I think insert the MAF between aircooler and inlet manifold.
What do you think about it?

I think that Speed Density fuelling and ignition is much easier to work with than introducing a MAF.

You could in theory set the system to AlphaN and connect the MAF to the TPS input, but I'm not sure how things will improve for you.

What are you hoping to achive with this?
