got a digital multimeter from maplins to help with my instal ;), im an engineer not a sparky so may come across as a bit simple ;);D the sr20 det has 2 temp senders one single connector that uses its body as ground the second has two connections and no body ground, found that the have different resistances, the single = 1.208 k ohms the twin = 2.291 k ohms, checked the vems air temp sensor reads 2.301 k ohms so it's pretty obvious that i use the twin connection sensor, but why does the single read so differently, also help on connecting the cas to the ecu would be appreciated, wiring diagram would be great[explained simpler the better ;D]

The single wire sensor is for the dashboard temp sensor.
The two wire sensor is for the ECU, and as you've measured its pretty close to the air temp sensor (which is handy as I've set your unit up for 2252 sensor as you'll see on the Calibration sheet).

And as for the CAS sensor I had a bit of a drawing session:

I'm not sure, the workshop manual is sometimes vague about which is the REF and the POS slots.  If you get the two wires around the wrong way its not a huge problem as they wont damage anything.
