Nasty trigger!

Here's the trigger log (RPM trace) for one of the cars I'm working on.  It's using the standard sensor and harness that the car was sold with.

As you can see, it's really nasty because it seems to be picking up noise from my generator which is stood next to the car.

Tomorrow's job - fit proper shielded cable!

Going to tell us what car it was?

It's a trigger log from the S16 engined Peugeot that I made before christmas.  Standard 60-2 trigger wheel and standard (VR) wiring.

Simular problem with megane 2.0 16v (F7R D710).
But i have many trigger errors. We try 3 vr sensors, two vems(one was may, 10 000km without any trigger error). Wheel is 60-2, diameter 23cm, teeth width 5mm, gap width 8mm, deep 5mm. 60-2 wheel is next to fly wheel.
Orginal ecu doesn't use shild cable. We tryed with two difrent shild cable. I try to reverse polarity(works better but to many trigger errors).
Proposals?

We got the Renualt 60-2 working fine on the Clio.  Check your engine grounds, and make sure that the sheilded cable is grounded at only one end.

It seems that problem is in automobile starter. Vr senzor and starter are 10cm distant. When cranking and vr sensor isn't on position(15cm distant from starter) triggers errors apear. This starter has stator from permanent magnets. Now is different starter(stator is coil) and for now works.

Hmm, no amount of grounding is going to get a magnetic field to go away...
