CA18DET misfires
« on: November 20, 2007, 08:00:31 pm »
Hi
My COP's connected through the "Power Transistor" to vems 5v ign outputs
I put 2.5ms dwell time but it still misfires
What is the problem, coils , injectors(550cc venom)?

I post my config too...

Where does it misfire, RPM, load or boost?  Can you provide a datalog and MSQ for this please?
You certainly dont need more than 1.9ms but 2.5 wont cause an issue.

msq, log and idle video http://www.hot.ee/zassaz/200sx_cfg.rar
Misfires at idle and ~1900 rpm too

Then AFR is about 11 it  idles properly but then AFR 13.5 and more it misfires or (I don't know what it is)

And  more idle log

Do you have to compress them?  If so please use zip I dont have RAR file abilities here.

If you're using the logic drivers to control the coil you might want to try the stepper outputs, but I think the problem is likely to be related to the configs.

First off, Anti-lag doesnt look to have been switched off correctly, in Extras->Advanced ALS set:
Input channel used to Disabled
Set all of your RPM values to 25500

In your Extras->Launch Control settings:
Set the RPM values to 25500

In Extras->Idle Settings Advance/PID:
Disable your Ignition based Idle control

Looking at your Settings->Primary Trigger Settings I'd set trigger tooth to 2 rather than 3 and reset the TDC after the trigger value to a correspondingly higher number, you ideally want to be around 120 to 60 deg BTDC.

It seems that changing Primary Trigger Settings as you told me helps. Missfires age gone ;)

Injecting on the firing stroke, as it will give the fuel a lot of time to sit on the back of the inlet valves and evaporate.
