Hi,

my name is Tomislav, living in Croatia. Much of my free time spending on tuning my Volvo.
It's MY 1999, an 1.9 liter, 16 valve, turbo engine, stock 200HP. All in all, a nice and pretty fast family car ;).

Through past two years I managed to make it to be even faster. So far, with all mods I done (long list, I'll put it if anyone interested) now it has 320 HP, 5,5 sec to 100 km/h and makes 13,5 sec on quarter mile. I'd say not bad for 1300kg heavy limousine.

The stock ecu is Siemens EMS2000 and it's pretty mystic to all tuners around me. We found basic maps for ignition, boost and fuel, but it behaves oddly, it goes to open loop in very strange occasions plus MAF sensor (also made by Siemens) problem which is in hitting over measuring range. Tired of trying to figure out why&how, decided to get rid of Siemens electronic in my car and to go with SA.

So, started lurking onto MegaSquirt and VEMS. Finally, deciced and bought assembled version of VEMS:
Assembled v3.3 controller
  - Flyback: 30V flyback
  - LCD connection: yes
  - MAP connection: 400kPa (5/3mm pneumatic)
  - Knock and EGT: yes
  - ignition driver: 4
  - primary_trigger: VR
  - PS2 connection: yes
  - secondary_trigger: HALL
and of course those little 20x4 text LCD. These days I'm making wiring harness and it's almost finished.
Having WB and EGT probe from before.

VR trigger is 60-2. The ignition has 2 coils, a wasted spark but planning to go with COP.

Anyway, wish me a good luck :)

Okay then, good luck!

I dont know anything about these engines, I guess with 16v they're 4cylinder ones (edited that to make me look less stupid).

Thank you sir :).

Yeah, you're right, it's a 4 cylinder engine.

Lookin' good. Boy does that idle valve look familiar. Never thought I'd be so familiar with Ford products. =]

I'll say I like the front wheels better than the rear wheels in that pic.   ;)

Good luck on the project. Keep us updated.

Many thanks to mwfire for all help and effort. :)

Finally finished most of the mechanical and electrical things on my car. So, time for showing off some numbers has come :).

Having fully implemented LC, flat shift and gear dependent boost control. VEMS is a really nice toy :).

Oh, btw. the engine is still stock  ;).

Wow, congrats! Very impressive especially with stock internals.  1.5 bar boost?

Thanks people!
