Citroen CX 25 Gti Turbo VEMS
« on: August 03, 2016, 02:07:55 pm »
Hello everyone, just a quick post to say hello.

I've had a modified Citroen CX 25 Gti Turbo 2 with VEMS and some other hardware mods. Last measurement was 340hp/580Nm on the dynapack at DP-Engineering. For all sorts of reasons, the car hasn't been used much since then. The body is far gone due to rust, so now I'm planning on putting the engine in a new 40-year old body, to have a sort of oldtimer sleeper.

While I'm doing this, I want to solve some issues that were never fully resolved in the previous incarnation. Most importantly, I've had an endless struggle with triggering. My current solution is a 12-1 trigger on the crankshaft using a Hall sensor, which is more or less satisfactory other than it being a massive toothed wheel sticking out of one end of the engine. I also have some minor clutch issues and some wiring I want to improve.

I'll start another topic hoping to get some advice on triggering... again.,
