Hi!
I am struggling to get the crank signal on a BMW M52 engine which has a hall crank sensor with +5V power supply. The board is an unassembled v3.8. I believe I have the sensor connected to the right pins.
Inside the case I have only soldered sj2 for the hall. Do i need to change something else? The R30 is currently 27k and R37 is not installed at all.
From many places I have read the following information, but it is hard for me to fully understand what it is saying.
Do I need to install a 4k7 in R30?R30 pullup
For primary trigger HALL: 4k7 parallel with (soldered piggyback on top) factory 18k (or factory 27k on v3.7 devices since 2013-11 ... doesn't matter in this case; don't be surprised if R30 resistor marking is 2702 or 273 instead of 1802 or 183)

P.S: This is my first VEMS install, I feel a little lost right now. So far I have assembled Megasquirt's, and only tuned a few VEMS'es.
