if everything is supposed to be zero... why?
« on: November 15, 2007, 09:51:37 pm »
In the last option on the advanced menu in megatune (22.25 and 1.0.73final) everything should be zero. but on the upper half one I have only a choice between stepper and ign... ?
why? and how to fix?

Do you want to use Ignition channels on the EC36 plug, or are you going to use the stepper drivers on the 18pin Econoseal to control an external transistor igniter?

I am using pin 34 and pin 36 on the EC36 to my wasted spark coil EDIS coil.

So select the Ign option for your bit 0-2 and you should be sorted

my ign option in megatune looks like

ign outputs in use in H2 01..00
0                                3
1                                2

and H2 table is h[2]=30 20 00 00 00 00 00 00

in ign settings its also
01..00
DUMMY
DISABLED
DISABLED

Thought this should be right?

still I cant get the 0 option on the third choice on the advanced menu?

BTW what should I put in "coil chargetime added @ 6V" for the edis coil? dwell is around 3.5 ms I think?

That H[2] looks fine, can you send a screen shot of the problem 'cos I think I'm missing what your question is?

Cheers

All the ones that should be zero are 0 and the ones for ignition are sorted.

okay, so everything is fine? I just talked with sprocket when we set this up, and he is also using the same ign. outputs and system as me, but he had only 0's there.Thats the reason for asking:)

Strange.

There were a couple of different 1.0.73 releases that were circulating as a result of the split in v1.0 and v1.1 firmware.

This is something we're putting a stop to in the future so there will be only one tested release at a time with the 1.1 releases.

It may be that because i am using the stepper chip for the stepper??

I downloaded the firmware from the Wiki Frimware page only a few weeks ago when playing around with my temp sensors
