holset turbos
« on: October 18, 2007, 12:16:07 pm »
was told that rob knew a lot about getting the most from these so i thought this would be the best place to ask  :)

im running a ca18det and have just bought myself a hx35w (wanted a non wastegated version but hey im not that picky, the gate will be wired shut).

the rest of the spec so far is as follows:

1mm oversize acl pistons
ART rods
tomei 10.25m lift 260degree cams
custom inlet plenum (ongoing not quite finished)
hks cast top mount manifold with ext. wastegate (divided entry too which will work well with holsets divided turbine housings)
ka24 throttle body
balanced btm end with dw 5kg flywheel
720cc injectors

also will be getting angelworks to do their magic on the head but waiting on the grp buy on sxoc starting. think im going for the full track spec. one with full radius valve seats 8)

thinks thats about everything  :-\

so how do i make the most from the hx35? i believe 500hp should be more than possible 8)

thanks  ;D

I know nothing about Holset turbos - I know some people that do though ;)

Theres one bloke I'm talking to who's put an engine out of a ********* and put it in an ******* who's running a Holset and reckons that you need to use a Bullseye turbine housing.

I dont claim to know about something until I've had direct experience with it.
But reports are coming in...

The Bullseye housing that Matthew got for his HX35 came from:
