Meth injection
« on: August 23, 2015, 09:41:43 am »
Hi all

Anyone running meth injection ?
As we cannot get E85 ethanol here in Denmark
I was thinking of running a meth injection kit , so i only inject on high boost , with a failsafe if the bottle runs dry , so it Will switch to another program in the VEMS

Anyone Got Any suggestion to set it up ?

I would have loved to install a flexfuel sensor so i could run the meth directly in the fuel
So the VEMS could control the boost/ign/fuel based on the amount of meth in the fuel

Is that possible to to somehow

Thanks

You could have the switch swap over to map B where you have ignition and fuel for meth injection and operating the meth as well.

A customer simply mixed it into his fuel and ran it that way. It worked pretty well, but leave it to long and the fuels separate.

I suggest you target 0.75 lambda when running lots of methanol.

I use on few cars with crappy fuel(95 octane). So i installed flow sensor, connect do speed2(secondary speed sensor) and use any trim tables. So if flow is good, remove fuel, add ign and add boost. If flow is to low(no water or pump doesn't work) no more boost :). Also if flow is to big(hose fall off) also no more boost.

Thanks guys

I was thinking if it was possible to use a input Channel ,
I Can see the flex fuel sensor gives 50hz at normal petrol and 150hz with ethanol, and the procent is in between
So it Can be poured into the tank instead of running a seperat tank
So maybe it easy to make a input that could read this ,

I allready use the 2speed input in mine as its running 4 trigger on the subaru wirh avcs

Thanks

Hi Mads

Do you have a failsafe for it, meaning what if the bottle runs dry , then you need the ecu to lower the boost/advance OR switch map ?

Thanks

This sounds as a great Way to control it
But i allready use the 2speed input for reading the avcs on the subaru

I was just looking at the n2o settings ,
And maybe this could be made to work , if only there was a option to add ign and remove fuel instead of only remove ign and add fuel

But it would be Nice to have a input that needed to be active before a output is turned on that Way it could be used for a failsafe

Thanks
