Hi There,

I've got a problem with an universal Vems, equipped with firmware 1.2.31, programmed with Vemstune Nightly 2014-05-09 (only working Version).

Installed it, programmed it, all of it worked fine, but now the ecu got a problem:

At every engine start, ecu fixes IAC and Ignition. Everytime you have to start Vemstune, open Tools=> IAC-Lock/Ignition Lock and close it, to unlock both controllers. This happens at every engine start, or they stay fixed.

I've already reflashed the Firmware, Uploaded the Config, nothing fixed it.

So what's the problem? Bootloader damaged?

Thanks 4 help!

Hello Kleinheribert,

Your bootloader or board serial number must be invalid or corrupt, could you post your ecu serial number (from sticker on the box) and the serial which is reported by VemsTune and i'l look into it.

best regards, Dave

Thanks for your answer Dave,

the Serial is 10290.

In Vemstune no Serial is displayed anymore, also when I tried to flash the firmware, Vemstune didn't detect the correct ECU Type (V3, Wheelspeed).

Am I able to reflash the bootloader without the special cable?

VEMS

Hello Kleinheribert,

That means your board bootloader section is corrupted, strange. Contact vems.hu (by email) and outline your situation referencing order id and board serial number, they will come back to you with detailed steps to follow; You will need to ISP programming cable to complete those steps.

Best regards, Dave

Check also if you got ECUCalibration/SafetyMode/enable, it should be "disable" (when not using ibutton).  This parameter stays on enable sometimes after an fw update (1.3.33 in my case) and auto reload of the previous config.

Hey Guys, thanks for your answers,

I'd tested a while, but the ecu seems to have a bad memory..its impossible to save multiple values, you are able to change it, but the wont' be saved.

I will send it to the Support for repair..in my opinion the Flash Memory is damaged  :o
