Bosch EV14 980cc (040) - calibrating experiences?
« on: June 27, 2015, 07:59:41 am »
Hi,

after using RC SH 750 injectors for a few years now, I decided to swap to Bosch EV14 980cc injectors.

With the RC750 I had req fuel 3.5ms with traditional injector settings, perfect idle, a flat VE table with flat smooth values...

Now I calculated 2.7ms for the 980cc EV14 but the car runs crappy lean and bouncing idle. It is only possible to get stable idle at Lambda 1 with 3.5ms (ego off!).

But driving with 3.5ms results in way to rich under all conditions. I did tune by statistics after that and modified the VE table like VEMSTune recommended. This results in way to lean driving conditions (I am confused because tune by statistics workt very well until this with various injectors)

I tried to set the dead time values to simplified and used the EV40 dead time table 2.9 - 1,8 - 1,4 - 1,1 - 0,8. After that I was not able to start the car (req fuel 2.7 - 3.5 tested)

I used the EV14 injectors in ME7 applications and OLS300 calibrating and they work very well there!

Somebody with experiences with the Bosch EV14 on VEMS and recommended req fuel/deadtime???

regards

Hello Black,

The EV14 injectors are very easy to tune so it must be something simple, where your RC-750 injectors the high impedance type ? If not perhaps you still have peak and hold mode enabled (or resistors in place) ?

Best regards, Dave

Hi, RC750 high impendance - yes...  I forgot to mention this...

I also think I did something simple wrong, because I never had any issues with mapping injectors...

best regards...

calibrating the 980CC done...   injector datasheet was wrong... no issues anymore...

Resurrecting an old thread but do you have the deadtimes?
Vemstune validate config gives me an error " deadtime too high"
I used

Volt ms
8      2,7
10    1,83
12    1,32
14    1,09
16    0,96
18    0,85
