Really pleased with it, could never hear knock before ECU adjusted ignition advance. I used to run it in my Volvo B230 with gasoline,  no use now with ethanol fuel.

Hello Skassa,

Could you elbarorate a bit bit on where you found the difficulties in setting it up ? Feedback like this will be very useful for us to improve/adjust the knock help page: http://vems.hu/vt/help/v3/v3_knock_control.html

Best regards, Dave

I confess I had some difficulties in reading the documentation probably because I was expecting a shorter text and the usual terms and chapters for signal analysis matters (eg. LabView), per example in this case: Data acquisition, Data conditioning, Detection, Control.

In the first one, I may have put  things related to"Window" and "Band pass" and related VT outputs.

In the 2nd, "integrator", "channel gain", "channel calibration" (instead of "Knock Sampling Base Reading Calibration" )

in the 3rd "detection strategies", "1. Noise knock threshold ","2. Mean knock value"

In the 4th "ignition control", "enrichment control" (instead of " Knock sampling action settings")

The menu items may also need to be reorganized.

These are just remarks, the main point is  that the Knock function works efficiently.

Hello All,
I have some suggestions too.
E.G. Now it is clear, the knock ref can upscale knock noise table.
I need to use tis, because my engine generates lot of noise about redline.
The knock noise ref says 1600. But:
- The individual knock channels maxxed out with 1024
- If I use knock noise ref as a multiplier (to cover over 790 in this situation I use 250%) the resolution of sensing divided by 2,5 isn't it?
This things generated some additional question, modification possibility:
- What is the maximum engine noise, what VEMS can handle (2048?)
- It would be very useful, if we can set in noise table the 'real' noise (above 797) value, and the individual channels could show values above 1024.

just lower your gain on channels..

Hi Kamuto,

If I do this, I cannot achieve the knock reference average on light load (cruising at 2000-2500 rpm)
