Vemstune RS232/ USB Disconnects
« on: April 11, 2015, 09:51:47 pm »
Looking for answers for Vemstune RS232/ USB 'unplug and re plug' disconnects.

Doesn't matter what PC or USB/232 converter, it randomly disconnects. Bluetooth is perfect though!

RS232 ground is connected to sensor ground, RX and TX on EC18 and 5v from Aux supply on EC36. No screen.

What do I need to be looking for?

Thanks

These are the ones we use from Easysync. Easysync are infact FTDI themselves...... same business address!

I think we will try and sheild the serial wires from the box to the Dsub connector.

USB - PC ground. I have a post about. It solves the case for the prolific cable. The issue came back after I had to change the motherboard of the notebook. So this has also to do with the sensibility of the usb chip of the PC.
