What to test for No seriel communication ?

Hi all

I have a new pcb were i have No seriel commulocation

What Can i test, and it what order ?

I have checked the wiring from the pcb to the seriel port ,and this is working

I have tried to see if i could force it into Bootload by connecting pin2 pin3 on the seriel plug , this does also not work

When i power up the pcb it sometimes uses around 0.17-0.22 AMP
But sometimes only 0.11amp  this is if i turn the power supply of and on again
That it uses 0.11amp only

Any suggestions ?

Number 10096

I have just put together number 10097 instead and its working ,
So Will need to get 10096 checked later ,
Now i Can get the Car running with the other pcb

But would still like to know what could be wrong with it ,
I have a old scheme to test from , and all the test is okay

Top resistor is 27k
Bottum resistor is 2.7k

Were the manuel says : top 100K , bottum 10k
Also the 4.7k pullup on the header pin is not there, is this sdcard only OR could this also have a effect on no communication ?

Do i need to change the resistors ? They are fitted in HU , i Can see that they are not machine fitted

I have added the 4.7kohm pullup on the headerpin, no change

I Cannot make contact to the ecu, what Can i check ?

I tried a few times now that the 4.7kohm resistor is mounted and the ecu is working now and i have uploaded the needed firmware

I have tried to remove the power to the ecu several times now
But it Can connect every time :)

I'm a bit confused after reading your last 2 posts, first it did not work and now it does work (without changes after mounting the 4.7k under ISP connector) ?

I''m a bit confused myself ,
I did Mount the 4.7kohm pullup on the header pins, then tested .....No connection

Then i read were you wrote to test the with the terminal program , so did that , also No connect

Then took it off and on serveral times from the powersupply ,
The connected to vemstune and there was contact,
So uploaded config file that i needed , power on and off several times again
And there is contact every time ,
So it looks to be working like normal now :)
