Lambda calibration number

Hi all

I would like to know shat Numbers you normally get when calibration the lambda
I normally have it around 185-195 when installing a new ecu and sensor
But i have the Odd one ones in a while that recuires the number to be as low as 148 and as high as 210
I Can take a new sensor and it ready different but Can the others stille be thrusted ?

What i would like to know is , Can i still thrust the lambda reading when the have been calibrated for the low or high numbers ?

Hello Skassa,

Only the calibration of a new sensor can be trusted, all numbers you quoted fall within acceptable range.

To get a ballpark figure for wideband calibration number beforehand take a look at: http://www.vems.hu/wiki/index.php?page=GenBoard%2FManual%2FConfig%2FWidebandCalibration
It outlines a method for double checking wideband calibration by measuring the sensors calibration resistor and looking up ballpark wideband calibration number.

As always the only method of doing the actual real calibration is free-air calibration, but this should provide you with a ballpark figure for your ease of mind.
