MAT /Intake Temp sensor M52 BMW
« on: June 10, 2022, 03:00:58 pm »
I noticed my intake temp is reading higher then it actually is  ambiant temp is 10C and car is stone cold charge pipe as well, but laptop vems app reading 50c and driving in that air it goes down to 37c but that's it.    now i noticed i can change it in MAT Curve setting to make it correct but,
If I do so will I need a re tune?

Which sensor do you have?

If the temps were off when it was tuned, fixing them now will require a re-tune. If they were accurate when it was tuned, fixing them to accurate now would be no problem.

It was the one that comes with the BMW M52 kit open air style "breu" i believe ,
Now since this post I noticed it was set to default and I changed it to a vems pre load and temps are spot on with ambiant and car seems to be running fine within the arf  14.6 just driving and under boost a little jumpy but in the 11.2-11.8 with 20psi (butaround 11.3 average)

I guess my question is should i be worried?   i'm new to this and had a guy tune it for me
