Hello guys.

Below is a spreadsheet I wrote to aid in setting up simplifed dead time using VEMS and a running engine.
The important usage is to have low pulsewidth as that is where errors are the largest

i.e dead time
idle is 1ms , dead time is 1ms , opening time is 1ms , total 2ms , 50% is dead time, dead time is a significant part of the total on time,
wot high rpm , dead time is 1ms, opening time is 15ms , total is 16ms , 6.25% is dead time, dead time is far less significant.

Thanks Gunni, I would check my dead time from your spreadsheet

Gunni,

I've always used the traditional method and seemed to get good results. I switched one car this morning to simplified and used your spreadsheet and all seemed to work out well.

Just as a note for other people, When I switched to simplified all the tables filled in with 4800 or something. To make the car run I adjusted the 12v and 14v down until I got the same Lambda reading as I did before switching the injection method. Those numbers came out to 12v- 448 and 14v- 448. The new numbers came out to 461 and 461, i'll mess with the target table and see if everything follows as it is suppose to.
