hello, as allways, having some problem with evo trigger, I'm getting less primary trigger at 6500rpm

maybe anyone knows how it can be fixed?

r30 is 2.7k r56 is still in place, on dyno it were running fine with 8500 rpm limiter, on street when car is accelerating fast with low gears no problem, in hi gear like 5 when acceleration is slower it starts getting trigger errors at 6500 rpm :)

imho that would be electrical noise(so bad wiring or ground).

MWfire

btw to small injectors? What impedance they are?

it has oem evo wiring coils changed to audi ones, coils grounded to head, stock ecu had 2 big ground wires I have soldered them to vems 5 grounds, and sensor ground like in vems manual. thinking not use stock grounds, but connect them direct to chassis.

it seems to be low ressitance with resistor pack, 1200cc and we are running them 100% dc and more seems it can cause problem too because of to weak ground link.

really thanks for that advise, never had problem like this :)

btw, it has 6 wire idle conntrol stepper valve, which has 2 + wires in the middle of each coil, can they be disconected? because now it somehow feeds car dash trough stepper chip when ignition is turned off. I can see dash lights little bit working with ignition off, disconect ec18 connector and dash goes black.

ok, it seems grounding does not helps :) it seems that there is a loose wire or something :DDD totaly no problems on dyno with load even inj dc 120% on road random eroors sometimes even on light load  :) work sux sometimes :D

Kamuto

is it worth to convert it to simple coil 4+1 trigger? or better is to make something like 12 tooth coil trigger? next week I'll have one more evo for testing, will see how it works :)

More tooth is better.
Don't use 4+1 tirgger.

primary trigger is vr and sec hall?

Yes

A six wire stepper motor is a Unipolar motor, Vems controls a Bipolar motor. I have successfully run a Unipolar motor with the Bipolar driver that Vems has.

The unipolar motor is made up of four windings in two pairs......... Three wires per pair.......... common wire is the centre of a pair of  widnings and would normally be supplied with 12v from a fused power source, and the unipolar driver then alternates the grounds.

You can disconnect the common 12v supply, simply turning the Unipolar motor into a Bipolar motor. Just be sure that each pair of windings are disconnected from each other as the stepper motor I had was five wire, but six pin, and the 12v was common to all. you need to end up with two independent widings for this to work correctly.

For example, a Unipolar motor would normally look like this
A               12v              C
|                  |                 |
|--~~~~~--|--~~~~~--|
                   |<--------------------------------------Just be sure that there is no common link between all four windings
|--~~~~~--|--~~~~~--|
|                  |                 |
D               12v              B

And by disconnecting the common 12v centre tappings you end up with a Bipolar motor like this
A                                   C
|                                    |
|--~~~~~-----~~~~~--|

both of them are hall, crank maybe optical,  but anyway it does not matter now, engine dead at this moment, not sure it was trigger error or just little bit lean on one cylinder :)
