convert V3.7 ECU from hall to VR

i've been hunting for information on how to convert the primary from hall to VR. i have a V3.7 ECU by the way and im running firmware 1.2.23 and config 1.2.23. so far i have read that i have to open SJ2 and close SJ6. i know R30 is involved somehow but thats where i dont know what to do. R56 was not populated so and from what i see its supposed to have 18K resistor so i borrowed the one from the second LM1815 since its not in use. im using a jimstim to emulate the 60-2 trigger wheel on the primary as well. when the ECU was primary hall it worked perfectly with the stim but now in my attempt to convert it to VR i get nothing in my trigger log. can anyone help please?
