2nd RS232 for AIM

I want to send AIM stream from Vems to Round (AfreshTiny) .

I probably first need to wire the 2nd RS232 port from the board, but then , how do I tell Vems that I want that AIM stream be sent through this 2nd RS242 mlink?

Hello Phil,

Aim stream is sent on the main serial port, not second serial port. This is not configurable (as outlined on: http://vems.hu/vt/help/main/aim.html).

Second serial port is used for GPS logging or 1Wire communication (iButton, see: https://shop.vems.hu/catalog/ibutton-security-c-1_10.html)

About the AIM documentation, yes I read it. Actually I was confused by the following text:

"Method of settings for AIM:
    If you have 2 serial cables (easiest way):
        Vt(VemsTune) can receive AIM data on a secondary serial cable from the ECU while configurating the Round unit.
        The round unit has be to connect to the VemsTune with proper Com settings.
        Connect your V3 on the secondary serial port to the VemsTune and set the proper Com port in Display menu/ Round main display dialog / AIM port button "

In peculiar :
"Connect your V3 on the secondary serial port to the VemsTune"?

Hi Phil,

Ah i see what you mean, i'll make a note to clarify that piece of help.
It means to refer to the second serial port on PC, VT will then talk to round on first serial port (of PC) and receive aim stream on second serial port (of PC)
