Hello.

Have problem with 6-wire stepper.  here is OE schematics

2 and 5 pin is 12V from main relay.
I got it working in terms of opening/closing from keyboard command mdi.

But at rest VEMS keep all four stepper outputs grounded. Becomes ~10Watt for heating of stepper and it grow hot.

How to solve it?

Background: we use OE wiring harness and adapter loom from OE connectors to VEMS.

I think this is one for the Wiki to be honest.  You know the drill, config, tables full load of information, and hope that its seen and dealt with.

What cars come with this stepper?

Turbo Eclipse Gen1.

I see solution if I connect pin 2 and pin 5 to ground. But this destroy OE harness and make it unusable with OE ECU.

Do you have the Eclipse triggering sorted?

No. Currently we fabricate custom optical wheel witch imitate 12-1 on crank and 1 on cam.

Here is OE picture.

That wheel will give you sufficient triggering to drive wasted spark and sequential injection.  If you trigger on the slot's opening it does not matter how long the slot is.

Can you take a few measurements as that looks very similar to the SR20 trigger wheels I've had made up:

You might be able to use one of those.

But Rob, there is two slots for sync. I agree may me it is possible run wasted setup. But how can i run sequential?

Only dimension I remember is  diameter of outer slots center: 45mm
