36-1 hall rising edge
« on: December 07, 2013, 01:25:28 am »
hello, I'm having strange problem, done many installs with 60-2 hall always used falling edge for triggering. now one 36-1 hall wasted spark, the problem is, it works only with rising instead of falling. when I crank it with falling I get only running on indicator working, and no rpm. with rising no problem to start it.. can I leave it on rising?

Do you have a scope trace of this sensor output ?
Falling edge is the more accurate edge when it comes to hall effect sensors as rise time is variable with hall effect sensors so trigger point will move (only slightly though)

at this time no, only trigger log, I understand that it will move, just interesting what's wrong with that one, in log it looks perfect, it just not fires the coils

Hello Kamuto,

If you supply the actual triggerlog file (.triggerlog not png) we can review,

Best regards, Dave
