Possible to use external WB controller 0-5V as source for VEMS WB info and EGO?

Just wondering if it is at all possible not to use the internal WB controller of the VEMS, and use say an AEM UEGO gauge with the 0-5V output connected to VEMS analog input and have the ECU use that as source for WB02 info and EGO correction?

Thanks!

I understand that for the wide band o2 sensor it is not a direct voltage measure as for a narrow band but that the measurement is obtained from the value of the feedback current which is necessary to maintain  a certain set point of voltage cell despite the perturbation due to the exhaust gas.
So I do not think it is possible

Why would you do that ?

The sensor is cheap , and it works great

I would never do that.  But I wanted to know for a customer of mine.

VEMS

Using an external wideband as input is not supported, since we have internal dual wideband controllers onboard.
