Well i've upgraded to 1.1.18 and the car runs  ;D

However i'm assuming the timing is way off. the car has no power off idle. Also, the spark angle gauge + lcd are showing +10 degrees timing, verses my old firmware that idled at -9

could this be als related? I'm 99% sure i have this disabled.

Second issue seems to be that S259 outputs don't work. I have to tach or dual channel IAC.  When i swtich back to 1.0.45, these magically work again.

Thanks!

I can post msq's if needed

I found 1.0.73 (I think!) works the best in my car, and was a significant improvement over 1.0.45.

There are (as far as I know) still some bugs left in 1.1.x firmwares, so I'd be inclined to leave them alone for the moment unless you want to join in with the bug swatting ;)

I'm guessing that you have Anti-lag switched on.

When you did the upgrade did you use generate-configWithDefaults.bat?

If not try it, and you should find that you ignition returns to where it was.

multiplex

yeah the generate with defaults for 1.1.18 doesn't include ALS.  It appears as though 1.1.23 does include defaults for ALS, but they don't 100% match up with 1.1.18.

maybe i should just wait a little on 1.1.x firmware?  ???

The 1.1.18 I have here uses ALSOff.txt in generate defaults, if you want to patch the config manually then that should work too.

There was some jiggery pokery with the S259 stuff in order to run external 4cylinder igniter packs using it, so you might be best to revert to 1.0.73 or take a punt and use 1.1.25 which is looking okay in initiall tests

Ok so i'm running on 1.1.26 now.  Timing checked out fine - it was just a change in how the guage looked in MT

turns out the problem was that my fuel tables were way off. Perhaps some of the calculations for fuel have changed throughout the firmware releases?

Everything runs pretty good, but at around 4 psi / 3500 rpm i'm getting a pretty bad cutout.

from the logs it looks like VEMS is reading the rpm at 25500 instantaneously.  This wasn't occurring with my older firmware, so i don't think its a hardware issue.

Has anyone else seen this issue with this firmware?  Any ideas on what to try next?

What is your setup exactly? Crank trigger, engine etc...

multiplex

inline 6, BMW. 60-2 crank trigger wheel, using hall sensor. And hall cam sensor.

i'll upload my msq in a bit if needed.

i remember vaguely something being wrong with 60-2 in the newer firmware releases?

thanks for your help!

I have a tested 1.1.18 60-2 trigger setup so I can compare it with that.
Is there any reason to use 1.1.18 over 1.0.73?
