injector divider
« on: May 06, 2012, 11:19:33 am »
Hello,
Currently, I use injector divider of 4 (Vems PNP).
I am going to replace my injectors to bigger ones as my current are too small to support the boost.
If i understand correctly, a divider of 4 means the injectors will fire once per cycle. So the squirt is larger. My idle PW is 2.1ms.
So if i change to divider of 2, it will fire twice per cycle, the req_fuel should be halved and therefore, idle PW will be halved as well - which means its not good for me?
Thanks,

With divider 1 injector row fires every time when engine cycles trough the respective row. With 2 - just every second time, with 3 - just every third time...

Normally injector table row count are equal to injector count with just one output checked in each. And engine cycles through all rows in two revolutions. Then divider 1 is accordant setting.

So to summarize, the PW will be halved if i move to divider 2 from 4, i understand.

No PW will be the same. Injectors will be fired twice more often.
You have to divide req. fuel by 2 then.

Maybe its a dumb question, but why would i want the injectors to fire twice or 4 times more. What are the advantages and disadvantages of this?
