my idle wont drop below 1600 rpm anything i can do ?

mattias

Adjust the throttle stop? If it's bottomed out, you have an air leak somewhere after the throttles.
I'm assuming here you don't have a runaway IAC valve.

Also try a pressure test, pressurize the whole intake system (with WOT).

whats the best way to test the iac valve as i tried adjuting it in vemstune and nothinng happened iac lock?

Establish its type, disconnect the power to it and force the thing closed (depending on it's type).

its a bosch 3 pin type perminant 12v and switches either side

Make sure you're using a suitable control frequency for this valve, too high and the valve may "freeze". I recommend 50-75 Hz, that sort of rocks it loose to move freely. You should be able to hear the control frequency and test it successfully with the"IAC lock" function.

ive removed the idle air valve all together and it makes no change to the idle at all sitting around 1600-1700rpm with it blocked up completely and ive sprayed cold idle around the inlet while on idle and no change to the idle at all ?

whats going on with it.. did you configure it with VT.
did you enter your info provided with your ecu?

i find effective planning really saves time and energy spent on your ecu.. i make a couple documents before i even make a harness.  To make sure i have all output/input assigned etc  and it does help save time later..
