Knock sensor SD-logger problem
« on: April 28, 2011, 03:29:57 pm »
Hello
I'm not using the SD-Logger function so its setting is disabled.
When i set knock channel to zero i get a error, SD-LOGGER says invalid (unknown setting).
Changing it back to disabled also Changing the knock channel to 240.  ???
Checked the configuration file but cant find the SD log settings.

Stay away from testing the knock code until a firmware has been officially released that has Andreys new "alternative" knock code.

These are the dialogs that affect what you're speaking of.

Yes those are the screens,
I Tried to get the knock sensor working to tune the ignition table i have.
it works well but i dont know if its perfect for my engine under boost.
is there an other way to check ignition advance?
Cheers andré

Get some det cans and/or go to a dyno facility.
Like I said, if you try to use the knock code, you're on your own.

That is a terrible idea to rely entirely on a knock detection code that almost nobody uses to adjust your ignition advance.

Do what Mattias suggests.

Ok thx for the advise i make a apointment at a facility,
BTW i checked my log files and its registrating knock signal so its working :)
For setting factory ignition advance i had to lean out almost till stalling at 950rpm
It idles smooth around 1250 think the performance cams and bigger throttlebody is the cause hahahaha
