primery hall sensor problem
« on: April 11, 2011, 09:30:22 am »
Morning,
After benchtesting evrything worked well on the play trigger feature in vemstune.
Now installed in the car secondary works good but primery isnt.
Vemstune is reciving bytes but not generating a trigger signal.
Changed sensor same result, anybody a idea where to look for?

Could be pullup problem: simulator has own pullup, but ECU hasn't. Just guess.
Measure voltage on signal wire at ECU side with ignition ON and disconnected sensor. You want to see >3v there.

Yes i changed R30 and R48 to 1k from 10k measured 4.7v at sj2
Secundairy is working ok, same setup (hall)
Maybe a ground problem or noise
Maybe something went wrong installing the unit and loom
in the car.
I'll check later this week.
Could 4.7 v pullup be to high? So the voltage differance over the sensor is to small?
