GPS map
« on: January 14, 2011, 09:28:07 pm »
hello,

Is it possible to download the map the GPS uses, as i dont have access to mobile internet when i am out driving with my netbook.

The map goes blank while driving.....but is fine when on the internet at home....

Does anyone know where the map is stored or where it comes from?

cheers

scott

hello all,

So looking through the ini files in vemstune....i find maps.xml.....and this points the gps map to openstreetmap.org.

So i can now download a uk only map from their website....but what i need to do next is alter the maps.ini file to point to where i put the downloaded map.

Then when i go out with my car & netbook i should also be able to see the gps map.

Sounds easy...but took long enough to get this far.
