Hi,
I'm a newbie in this land of Vems and I need explanation and your knowledge will be helpfull  ;)
What is the particularity of P259 channel 0,4,5,...??
I want to know if there is something special to do when connecting the tachometer signal to the dashboard.
The manual is talking about a "1K pullup  to 5+V".
Can anybody explain to me why and how ....
Waiting for your help.....
Thanks
Michele.

In all boards pullup is already soldered for P259 ch0. It is pin 4 in EC36 connector.

So in other words, all I have to do is connect my tacho wire on the ec36 pin 4??
Do I have to modify somthing on the Vems tune??

GintsK

In VT you have to configure tach output to mentioned and set divider to 16. That's all.

You can connect tach wire to stepper output if you have one free.

Yes. As alternative.
P259-0 will give 0-5V signal, S259 (stepper chip) - 0-12V signal. In most cases 0-5V is enough.
