Making Custom Datalog fields - ADC from Vemstune to Megalogviewer?

Hi All,

I would like to log exhaust backpressure and display it in megalogviewer.

I will use a VDO pressure sensor and a resistor, to create a voltage divider, then scale this in VEMSTune. Ok no problem.

I don't see ADC_ch0 or anything similar as a logged field when I open a log in MLV though - I know with megatune *.ini you could change how VEMS creates logs fields.

Can this be done with VEMSTune?

I can also just create a calulated field in MLV based on the ADC channel raw data even, but I still don't know how to view this in MLV?

Upload a log file somewhere so I can see what you have.
I have changed the log fields in Vemstune and also created new channel names in MLV. MLV is very useful.

It would help if you created a thread describing exactly what is missing from VemsTune that makes you want to use MegaLogViewer, a wishlist if you will.

Analog 0 = "Misc 2"
Analog 1 = "Misc 3"
Analog 2 = "Misc 4"
Analog 5 = "Misc 1"
Analog 6 = "ebp"
Analog 7 = "fp"

-Can create calculated fields using any mathematical formula i want

-VE Analyzer

-Shows Max/Min for each field on the left side so i know right away what the limits of each field are.

-Can overlay one log on top of the other for direct comparisons

-Can change the time scale (zoom in/out) using arrow keys up/down.

-Auto centers any point of the log I click on.

-scrolling in general is much easier.

-Never crashes. Vemstune is very stable for me for the most part, but if I use the logviewer it crashes 3x as often.

That's just a few things. The list of why i use MLV instead of VEMSTune's  log viewer is VERY long.

Thanks that list is perfect! I can create calculated fields to scale those analog values into the desired units, so that is great. That ways I can shift/scale etc do whatever to them on the fly in MLV without editing any ini files or anything.
