Cam sensor setup vw 16v

This goes out to those people who are running the cam sync on the 16v vw motor.  I tried on using the stock cam hall sensor (1 missing tooth) wheel but with no luck in detecting a signal.

Does the stock cam (hall) sensor and wheel work ok with VEMS?
