Acceleration enrichment rpm vs amount
« on: September 29, 2010, 07:51:19 am »
Can someone explain in lame terms this 4x4 table?

i fully understand the TPS vs amount now but i need some clarification on the second one. I have read the info on wiki, but cannot understand it fully either. I have seen mattias config which he uses values of: 30/20/10/0 on respectivelly rising rpm values.

Q: What does the % amount represent? Is it a percentage of the 'scale' that is previously used on the TPS vs Scale table? Is it a % of the total extra fuel injected? Is it an addition to the previous scale already??

thanks

The %´s are based on the req fuel .

So first table is %´s of the req fuel and then the second one %´s of the first pw calculated

ie. 5ms req fuel

20% amount calculated in the first table = 1ms

Second calculation is 40% = 0.4ms
If it was 140%  = 1.4ms is the final pw calculated for accelaration enrichment.

It´s %´s so that these numbers become more general between engines and don´t need changing if you change your injectors (reqfuel)

You can weigh these values differently. I tend to use about 100/40/10/0 now, and less on the TPS scale. That way I feel that the TPS table is the only thing I have to tweak on a new engine.

thanks for the answer.so if i didnt wantt to use table 2 i would ise 0% and then it would be as ot used to be on megatune 1.1.27, were we have only the tps vs amount.

that clears things up. cheers

No 0% means that you want to multiply with ZERO and the results will always be zero.

use 100% or 1.0 for no changes

I mat set the acceleration enrichment at all. Used some settings but still no luck. when pressing the pedal it goes rich then for 3-4 seconds lean and then again rich. It is on 1.1.81. Anyone has a good working map for this?

have you tuned the entire fuel map so far?

if your ve map isn´t fully developed then it´s going to be very hard for anybody to sort out your accel enrichment over the internet.

don´t mind the crappy response until the VE is ready

So, i am narrowing down the problem a bit. I have noticed that in the sites under 80 Kpa and across the rev range before the turbo starts to pull really i need quite litte VE to have an EGO Corr of 96-97%. But in the contrary at these sites i need a fair amount of enrichment to get it moving further. Thus gives me small accel then "chokes" because it gets too lean. above 80 Kpa there is no issue at all.

Now if i raise the accel enrichment then it gets at the higher sites too rich when i press the pedal.

I am going to make one with a new table i made with more detail in these map areas. i want to make sure i dont have any misfire there.

I have made a new map today and got the values that the engine needs under load (small steep road). The acceleration is much better but still need to tweak the values a bit. The problem now is that during cruising at these sites i need a very big EGO Corr value (enleanment) of about 25. To say the truth i dont like it very much.

What should i do? How do you map these regions?

do you have a log?

I´d map to target lambda and then sort out accelaration enrichment
