Flyback option and 30V TS diode and IAC flyback
« on: August 12, 2010, 02:24:09 am »
Hello

I have High-Z injectors and mounted High-Z Flyback (SMB + 20V) . recently installed recommended 30V TS diode between flyback pad and +12V BAT.
Did not I should change 20V diode on 6.8V or SMB ?
I do not want to burn FET...

And second question - Can I connect the flyback diodes which safeguard the FET drives IAC (BOSCH duecoil) to the flyback pads which now is connected to +12V through 30V TS diode.

Thanks for answer

Kris

iac, boost solenoid .. need normal diode(0.7voltage drop). So for every iac, boost solenoid... you need one diode.

Why boost (or any other solenois except IAC) needs diode? Normal diode gives smooth, slow closing. Do we need it for BC?
