What is the recommended settings for knock sensor to start with?

How to found out the correct settings for my engine?

I have opel 2.0 16v C20LET with 86.5mm bore size and stock bosch knock sensor....

I have not used it, as its way to complex to setup,
and have yet to see a succesfull vems install running closedloop knock control

Just map it like anyother ECU out there, and stay clear of knock

mr_g, can you get real detonation and record it?
If no, you can use my frequencies from wiki (c20XE - same engine)

Rob has some guidance. I use somewhere like 10...15% for noise maximum (100...150digits from 1024 full scale) and two additional rows in vems3.ini file for datalogging.

In any case i can see detonation in logs.

BTW dainiuxsky report knock system as non working in 1.1.62...68

I'm not an VEMS expert... I was simply asking for guidance for knock configuration starting point...

Pictures from vemstune would be great, but I think I could manage that msq files on your page... Hope soo..

Is that file the last and updated version? What is the best freq. for knock detection on c20xe? 6, 9.6, or 12khz?
