Jumpy spark
« on: July 11, 2010, 06:56:12 am »
Spark advance jumps to 18degrees in very random fasion, any ideas what is wrong.
I have gone thru all settings but can't pinpoint the problem.
It's always 18degrees, it doesn't matter if it's cold or warm engine, accel or decel, boost etc.

Here's pic of log:

Fuel pump output is disabled, not in use.
Delays for off is 1.6s, on 2.5s are these still in use if output is disabled ?
And why would fuel pump control affect spark advance ?

first error, you can't put 1 def after trigger tooth.
Try 0 or 1 for trigger tooth and delay 30 for start.
Ref totth table is empty
then you set sequencial spark but you didn't set sec. trigger.
ve, spark... all wrong
Maybee put default config?

Yes primary and secondary trigger settings are  wrong in that test config, also reference table and ve/spark tables.
So don't pay attention to them.
Triggering itself works, but something else makes the spark advance drop to 18degrees.
This happens always, when you are driving on light load or high load.

That config should be enough or do you really think the problem is in primary tirgger ?
If it would then RPM value would change when spark drops to 18degrees.
VE and spark tables are normal for 6cyl supra engine.
Secondary is standard camsync and reference table standard 6cyl sequential.
