Viper Engine settings
« on: April 22, 2021, 02:57:31 am »
Hi guys, new to VEMS.

Trying to setup a Dodge Viper 10 cylinder ODD FIRE.

im really lost now. see snipit from WIKI.

I have reviewed "v10 starts.vemscfg", most importantly ignition output allocation; it does not match the settings from the configlet "Dodge_Viper_V10_10+4_Camsync" and will indeed lead to wrong ignition cycle.

To resolve:

Please apply the configlet and do not make any further adjustments to the ignition output allocation. The Viper v10 config is a bit special with the two hidden entries.
After applying the configlet check ignition timing on all cylinders with strobe (best apply zero cyl separated spark delay by applying the "default" configlet there) and disconnect INJ fuse.
After correct ignition cycle has been confirmed on all cylinders, reapply configlet "Dodge_Viper_V10_10+4_Camsync" with the aim of restoring the cyl separated spark delay to original settings.
If anything is out of order, its easiest to swap the wires on ec36 and re-verify cycle with strobe.

Can anyone help with understanding best way to get this engine started?

use wiki for that. it's quite complicated, I had started some of v10 oddfire and damn understanding how that logic works was not an easy task

Probably V10 odd fire use the trick of putting a spark large spark delay every 2 ignition to make it odd as ir does for the V6 odd fire. So once the triggers and the engine cycle are set, on one part, then for a correct ignition you need to apply these spark delay
